Purpose
The AI Privacy Specialist will support the WFP Global Privacy Office by developing and implementing comprehensive Data Protection and Privacy policies tailored to AI initiatives. The role includes reviewing current policies, drafting legal documents, providing guidance on privacy issues, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and operationalize Data Protection and Privacy policies for AI initiatives.
- Review and adapt WFP’s Personal Data Protection policies to fit AI initiatives.
- Draft SOPs, position papers, and conduct legal research on Data Protection and AI technologies.
- Provide consistent advice on Data Protection and Privacy issues related to AI.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Implement elements of WFP’s Data Protection and Privacy Program, including PIAs and data breach response mechanisms for AI.
- Prepare and review Data Protection agreements and contracts related to AI projects.
- Develop reporting mechanisms to monitor privacy activities and support remediation efforts.
- Conduct training and awareness activities on Data Protection and Privacy for AI initiatives.
- Coordinate and draft responses to audit findings related to AI Privacy compliance.
Eligibility
- Education: Advanced university degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. LLM or Master’s in Data Protection, Privacy, or related areas preferred. Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are desired.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Protection, Privacy, and Information Security, with a focus on AI technologies.
- Skills: Deep understanding of Data Protection regulations and AI technologies. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work autonomously and in teams across different regions.
