About the Role
As the Facilities Specialist for One Acre Fund Nigeria, you will be a crucial part of our team, ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and operate smoothly. Your role involves managing daily upkeep, safety, maintenance, and inventory across all our locations. You will work closely with office staff to handle repairs, inspections, and upgrades, making sure that our working environments are safe and functional.
Responsibilities
- Facilities Management
- Keep buildings clean and suitable for office work.
- Ensure all equipment and devices are functioning properly.
- Design and maintain office space plans.
- Create a routine inspection system for equipment and facilities.
- Health and Safety
- Monitor compliance with health and safety standards.
- Work with admin officers to ensure safety across all locations.
- Maintenance and Repairs
- Schedule and arrange repairs as needed.
- Update maintenance records regularly.
- Manage and coordinate technician activities.
- Maintenance Inventory Management
- Handle maintenance requests and store inventory.
- Manage power usage and ensure cost efficiency.
- Perform duties to minimize disruptions and maintain comfort.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Experience in facilities management, focusing on maintenance.
- Knowledge of budgeting and costing for facilities.
- Skills in electrical, structural, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong team and project management skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in facilities management.
- Ability to learn quickly and understand complex concepts.
- English is required; knowledge of a Nigerian local language is a plus.
Job Location
- Based in Minna, Nigeria, with frequent travel required.
